8th February 2008 - Responsible rodent control training programme launched for land-based colleges, industry version to follow
A five-module training programme designed to give a thorough grounding in the responsible use of rodenticides to students on game, wildlife and countryside management courses has been launched by The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) and Sparsholt College, Hampshire.

9 October 2006 - Farmers Weekly Academy
The Farmers Weekly Academy was a series of two articles published on the 15th and 29th September, aimed at testing and expanding knowledge within the farming community on the importance of controlling rats responsibly. Dr Alan Buckle, visiting research fellow at the University of Reading and CRRU Chairman, provides these guidelines and summarises the seven point plan for control (the CRRU code) agreed with leading companies and advisers throughout the industry.

27 June 2006 - Industry Rodenticide Group Take Message To Game Fair 2006
An industry group promoting the responsible use of rodenticides to countryside dwellers is to take its message, for the first time, to this year's CLA Game Fair on 28 to 30 July at Broadlands, Romsey, Hampshire.

The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) was established in spring 2005 by seven major companies involved in the manufacture and marketing of rodenticides in the UK, with advice from professional organisations such as English Nature and the Health and Safety Executive.

24 March 2006 - Industry Group Commits To Responsible Rodenticide Campaign
The Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use (CRRU) is entering its second year with continued financial support from an industry group to the tune of £100,000. Launched in May 2005 and made up of seven leading manufactures and marketers of rodenticides, CRRU aims to encourage those in the countryside to use rodenticides more responsibly and reduce any risks to wildlife.

"Our first year has been very successful," says CRRU Chairman and independent adviser Dr Alan Buckle. "We have targeted key countryside groups - farmers, growers and game keepers - and worked with wildlife and rural organisations to gain their support."
